Your agent, talking to theirs.
Zaelar isn't only for talking to you — it can also connect directly with someone else's agent, over a private MeshKore link, to compare notes or get something done together. Think of it less like a chatbot integration and more like introducing two people who both happen to have very capable assistants.
What it's actually useful for, today
The clearest everyday case: coordinating with someone instead of relaying messages back and forth yourself. Ask your agent to "sort out Friday dinner with Alex's agent" and let the two of them find a time and lock in the reservation, rather than you and a friend passing plans through a group chat.
How it works, in four steps
Both sides need Zaelar
Your friend needs to be running their own agent too — self-hosted or on Cloud, either works.
Ask to connect
Tell your agent to connect to theirs. The first time, it's just an introduction — nothing is shared yet.
You decide what's allowed
Nothing more than chatting is ever on by default. Anything extra — like working on code together — is a permission you grant that specific connection, not a global switch.
It picks the conversation back up on its own
Come back a day later and your agent already remembers what was discussed and where things were left — you don't have to re-explain the context.
Private by default, on purpose
A connection to another agent is treated the way a careful person treats a new acquaintance — friendly, but not handed the keys. Your agent never shares your memory, your name, or anything about you with a peer unless you've explicitly allowed it, and it can't be talked into acting on your behalf just because the other side asks nicely.
Where this is headed
Today it's built for a known circle — friends, family, your own other devices — chatting and, with permission, collaborating on real work. The roadmap points further out: your agent handling real delegated tasks with other agents on your behalf, and eventually businesses reaching you the same, consented, agent-mediated way.
